Text Box: Do you have a young child at home that suffers from repeated ear infections? Does it seem like he or she is taking antibiotics all the time? Or perhaps you are even facing the possibility of having tubal surgery on your little one’s ears. This pattern of chronic ear infections can be a nightmare for parents, and in recent years many pediatricians are starting to recommend chiropractic for their patients that suffer from these troubling infections.
Many chiropractic patients do not realize that their young children may benefit from chiropractic care as well. Ear infections in general are blockages in the Eustachian tubes. Manipulation of the neck and spinal bones done by a chiropractor can help to unblock fluids or infections in the ear, allowing the ears to drain properly. Small Text Box: children are more prone to blockages, and in turn infections, because their Eustachian tubes are more parallel than those in adults.
A chiropractor will examine the ear with an otoscope , just as a pediatrician will. He will note redness and other signs of infection, and he will also examine the upper neck and spine for misalignments. Adjustments for children are even more gentle than those for adults, and will allow the body to heal itself naturally.
Some preventative measures that parents may take to reduce the chance of ear infections are propping children’s heads up a bit at night, not permitting bottle drinking at night, limiting sugar intake and watching for early signs of ear infections.

Best and Worst Fish Choices

Text Box: Fish is often touted as a healthy source of lean protein, as well as a highly anti-inflammatory food source. However, not all fish are equally healthful, and some should really be avoided.
The best fish for eating are those rich in omega-3 fatty acids, as they help maintain physical and mental health by

Fish to limit or avoid would include many farmed fish, such as salmon and tilapia and predatory fish such as swordfish, tilefish, shark and albacore tuna.
